The International Conference on Human Milk Science and Innovation Evolves
Since 2013 the ICHMSI has been held annually in Southern California. Each year conference participants have rated the conference, the speakers and the content as “excellent”, compared to other conferences of this type, and have indicated that the conference “exceeded” their expectations.
Conference participants have also consistently recommended that the conference be held every other year instead of annually and that we broaden its reach across the United States and throughout the world.
Based on this consistent feedback, the following changes were implemented in 2019:
- Instead of the annual 2-day conference in Pasadena, the conference will be held in different regions globally.
- The first 1-day regional conference of the ICHMSCI was held in Boston on March 26, 2019 bringing together participants from that region. View the replay>>
- To broaden its international reach, a regional conference will be held in Europe in 2020. The location and date for the international conference will be announced later in the year.
- The Ruth A. Lawrence Investigator Award for Research in Human Milk Science will continue. The award winner will receive an invitation to present his or her research at an upcoming regional conference. Click here for more details >>
